    Growth mindset vs fixed mindset kids in maths.

    Are the growth mindset students the kids who you can give the textbook with the answers in the back to and they will used the wisely and the fixed mindset students the kids who you can't?

    I think Rebecca often comes across as patronising but I'm sure that wouldn't be her intention (why would it be?). For instance, when she explains something about maths or education I don't think she means to be patronising (despite the fact that this is a maths education forum)... perhaps she's just "thinking outloud".

    I always think twice before I post.   That allows me time to hone my insults.  I can't imagine how offensive becks could be if she really tried.

    ach - we've just said goodbye to some pre-christmas guests - i'm way too merry - ahem - to feel patronized Party!!!

     but i don't think i said anything that wouldn't be obvious to anyone who'd actually studied primary maths teaching (i know most of you folk teach secondary)

    I just thought you put it together really well and epressed it very clearly.

    I'm afriad I just haven't got used to all the

    'you're talking a load of sh1te' and 'I bet you haven't even got QTS status' culture yet.

    It might take a while.

    I think she's just so spectacularly far up her own backside she's lost sight of daylight.

    For someone who claims to be Super-Facilitator-Woman she sure as hell is fncking awful at communicating.

    What I find fascinating is your total refusal to even consider that it might be you ; that it might be your attitude, your posting style and content.

    It requires quite gloriously high levels of self delusion.

    Yep, if it was just me saying your ideas are 'sh1te' then fair enough ; but virtually every poster thinks your ideas are sh1te (or trivial).
