Is this another threat ? Are you going to report me to Kevin Brennan again ?

If you carry on like this, it'll be Don Brennan for you.

    Don Brennan

I was just about to say this is getting dull now!  Big Smile

Time for a break I think.  I'll leave the usual suspects to line themselves up shall I?

Why the heck would anyone find Don Brennan threatening.  I was only chatting to him about the quality of A-level teaching.

Do you honestly think anyone cares enough to look up and find the name of the hmi? You have NAMED her on here and written about her in disparaging terms. Totally unprofessional.

That would be pretty difficult ; you'd have to ask the DfES for the HMI report and get the name off that. I would imagine the DfES (or whatever it is this week) would want to know why.

I'm not the one making threats here remember.

    And neither am I curlygirly.

I'm just reminding you that it's unwise to write malicious lies about posters who are open about their identities.  That is cleary defamation.

You just seemed to have forgotten.

Eh?  You discuss education with fictional deceased soap opera characters?   This place gets stranger by the day.

I can assure you every inspector who's seen me teach gas seemed to understand perfectly what was going on in my classrooms.

And you can extrapolate from that that every inspector fully understands what's happening in very challenging mixed ability secondary school classrooms curlygirly?

Well done.  That really is an achievement.

Why have you been inspected so often under the latest system.  Are you inspecial measures?

notbthat it's any of your business but I was done as part of the pilot in spring 2009 ( full inspection no notice) had a subject inspection, moved schools and a full one last term. Most definitely not special measures by the way and excellent and exceptional leadership fwiw. But since you think I'm not a teacher, you probably don't believe that either.

quite clearly a threat. You seem to have forgotten that the TeS terms and conditions state that you should not name or identify schools or people working in the education sector. If you choose to identify yourself then that's your choice. Go ahead, report me.

Are you sure you're good at the Interwebthingy ? Typing "OldAndrew" into google returns the blog as first match ?

In the not too distant future everyone will have a phone in his pocket with high-resolution colour display, and with a graphical calculator loaded onto it as standard. More advanced calculators will be available for those who want them.

And only 2% of the population will be able to use them.

There's also a resolution issue ; there's no point in having a high resolution display if it has to be pocket sized, notwithstanding processing speed / battery issues.

The gizmo will clearly be so whizzy that a bigger 360 degree screen will unfurl around you and immerse you in the action.
