Dear God what the heck was all that about. If further evidence were needed, surely this shows that she's clearly not very well.

No I seem to remember you decided about 40 accusations ago that I was definitely seriously mentally I'll and no more evidence was needed.

My conversation with DM was in the context of this thread about the Whitby Synod.

DM, of course, was always precisely on topic and never abusive.  The perfect gentleman as ever.  No evidence of accusations of mental illness (DM?  surely not?), no evidence of straying off the topic.Big Smile

That was back when I thought you might just be eccentric becka.   I have revised my opinion now.

Oops, clicked the wrong buttons :(  Here goes again:

Well, I suppose angels fear to tread, and all that, but there's a wierdness to all this stuff that I've now stumbled across a few times when idly browsing into this forum.  Without having read it all in detail, so apologies if I've missed the point, but there appears to be some group of obsessives conducting some sort of internecine warfare, with levels of petty vitriol that tend to make this casual observer recoil a bit.  Sorry if you all take it so terribly seriously, but it just seems daft.  Smells a bit like bullying, though, with many ganging up on one, or have I got that wrong?  For what's if worth, my quick impression is that weebecca is a very intelligent contributor whose prose is witty and quick and often makes me smile, whereas some of her detractors seem awfully dull as well as rather nasty.  But maybe I've misunderstood.

I'm not sure you could have got things any more back-to-front if you had tried James.

Actually weebecka, you were the one who made the suggestion first. I would imagine though, when you tell as many lies as you do, it would be really hard to keep track of what you've said. So I'm willing to believe that you might not remember it. I do however, as it's the first time anyones ever said that to me ( either on these forums or in real life). I doubt you could say the same.

Wait until you've disagreed with her James. She's been responsible for some of the worst bullying, malicious lying and rudeness I've ever seen on TES.

During your time idly browsing have you ever seen any posts change James?

    Betamale:

Why do you post here? In 10-15 years of using fora I have never seen one person who sparks so much

    (i) Hate

    (ii) Pity

(iii) Disagreement on core issues in topics the board was designed to discuss

Who is your audience? Do you think anybody wants you to post?

These are not insults, they are honest questions. I have never seen someone so socially out of place yet continue to post. The Pm system is on overload with people ridiculing your posts. Do you think if a poll was set up to have you remain you would have ANY supporters? (and I refer to those who didnt join the forum today to vote)

These are questions and I would be interested to see your response, free of silly pictures, youtube links, acronyms and fluffy English.

You are obviously intelligent (assuming your Cambridge education is legit) yet you cannot see the situation here it seems

I'm here to understand this forum so that I can better advise people on what it can and can't do.

I been contributing to discussion forums for quite a while for all sorts of reasons.  I've been asked to write and present on the practicalities of using them.  Given that it seemed appropriate to spend some time on TES rather than to comment on it from reading it only.

To me this feels just like starting at a very challenging school with inadequate support.  You can't teach for a while.  It's just chaos because it takes time to get to know the individuals.  Some people judge you very negatively.  But when you've previously taught well in very difficult situations you don't take it personally because know it's not you, is just a reflection of the situation and you know that their judgements will change as things settle down.

I've been through this so many times it just doesn't phase me.  I just look round and survey the scenery looking carefully to see who is deliberately prolonging the problems and wondering about their motives for doing so.

I wouldn't leave a school until this settling in process is over though.  To do so would allow those transient initial impressions to become permanent.   Once I I have settled in I will be able to judge whether or not my staying is beneficial and if it's not I will leave.

That really did make me laugh out loud! You wouldn't leave til it's sorted? Is that why they had to close your last school down?! Lol you're hilariousBig Smile

    Which people? Why?

    weebecka:

Who asked you?   Are you sure you did not approach others after proclaiming yourself as an expert on this subject?

    weebecka:

This is just an excuse for an insult.

    weebecka:
But when you've previously taught well in very difficult situations

There is no evidence that you have.

    weebecka:
you don't take it personally because know it's not you, is just a reflection of the situation

    It is you.

    weebecka:
and you know that their judgements will change as things settle down.

From bemusement to anger to pity to contempt.

    weebecka:

It is you again.   Your motive may be illness or it may be spite.

    weebecka:
I wouldn't leave a school until this settling in process is over though.

You would not get any choice in the matter if your conduct in a school was anything like this.

    weebecka:
Once I I have settled in I will be able to judge whether or not my staying is beneficial and if it's not I will leave.

Your presence is of no benefit to anyone (including you).  Please leave us alone.
