    Indeed you have Betamale.

As an aside, I know the people on Jetemy Kyle aren't actors, 2 sets if parents from my school have been on. Deep joy.

Really. One was " I won't let you have your daughter" - mum a junkie, Grandma refusing to let mum see grandaughter until she can guarantee she's clean ( that'll be never then), The other was " I can't believe you slept with my mother!" - neither could I when I saw her.

It makes you heart swell with pride.

Our students routinely used to be taken out of school to be in the audience of Trisha!

Is that a pop at me? I don't see how it makes sense, although it is WeeBee so who can tell?

I think the "report" of tes must have been deleted from here blog, although a search throws up references that might have contained it.

I'm not entirely sure.  It might have just read like that but not have meant that.

If you would like a copy of weebee's pulled blog post, I could pm it to you.

To me this feels just like starting at a very challenging school with inadequate support.  You can't teach for a while.  It's just chaos because it takes time to get to know the individuals.  Some people judge you very negatively.  But when you've previously taught well in very difficult situations you don't take it personally because know it's not you, is just a reflection of the situation and you know that their judgements will change as things settle down.

    Weebecka,

I am trying very hard not to get involved here, but you are not helping yourself at all with statements like this.  This comes across very clearly as: You are the teacher and everyone else is a naughty/stroppy pupil.  This is not going to endear you to anyone.

I don't know whether you are looking for advice, but mine would be as follows:

    • Post far less but think about what you are posting and make them good posts.
    • Post in fewer forums.
    • Stay away from Opinion.
    • Reread what you have written before hitting "send" to check it doesn't come across in a patronising way (as, for example, the quote above).

Having seen the blog post, I really hope her spot at the conference is pulled. If she says the sorts of things she said on the blog and says here, she's likely to be removed by the men in white coats and I wouldn't wish that on anyone, having been a man in a white coat in my youth.

Interestingly I don't see the text DM quoted me as having said (which you then quoted him as having said about me) in your list Autismuk

That's because it's a sample, not an exhaustive list.

    weebecka:
By the way - if you are not an administrator - your taking this material offline and republishing it is surely illegal isn't it?

    Quoting it isn't, no.

    weebecka:
Personally I'd prefer you just republish the whole lot.

An archive of all the threads you are involved in is about 40Mb, zipped. Most of this is not you, obviously, but context is important.
