Of course the one who's celebrating it being gone here is DM, because I now can't go back and rummage out the bit where I said anyone who wanted to check me out could meet me at ATM conference and he replied clearly instructing me not to talk about that.  I listed because I thought he had and official role here.  Sigh.  DM you are a double-crossing slimy toad - no wonder you're in the MA Sleep

Actually this is the exchange you refer to.

    DM:

I'm a member of both and believe the MA is superior in every way.  The MA Journals (particularly the Gazette) are more serious and I find the ATM's obsession with their founder Caleb Gattegno disturbingly cultish (it reminds me of the way Scientiologists fawn over L. Ron Hubbard!).

    weebecka:

Wow - you've clearly been in different circles of conversations to me! I ran the Gattegno session at BCME - which lead to the theme for the next conference, but the context coudn't really have been much more different.

If that was you disclosing you were planning to engineer some unpleasantness for personal gain, then I failed to notice.

That would explain why I've never met you then!

    Ah but you have.

Re: the conference - why don't you message Andrew Jeffrey (you mentioned him before)?

Because I like and respect him and wouldn't want him to feel uncomfortable.

Let me guess - you contributed to the EiML materials then. xx

Well I can't offer that but I might be able to get you in for free as a nominated co-presenter if you like.  No need to prepare anything, just the option to interrupt if you felt I was misrepresenting TES or its contributors at any stage and of course to feed back to the forum here.

That's a kind offer but I don't particularly want to be fitted up like a kipper.   I know you have been watching this video:

No it wasn't, it was about ATM conference next year and it was in the thread.

Happy to move the invite to another regular contributor to the TES maths forum who doesn't feel so vulnerable that they could be easily 'fitted up'.
