I'd be very grateful for any information you can give me to help me understand why I was banned.

I would imagine the main reason was arguing with the moderators publicly, and posting private messages from them on the forums without their permission.

This is instinctively wrong to anyone used to forums. If you irritate people who have the power to ban you, you won't get banned.

WRT PMs, for example, several people have said they've got 'wierd PMs' from you or similar, but no-one has actually published them.

The other reason is your habit of identifying people by name and slagging them off (e.g. Janet Johnson, HMI (pseudonym).

This opens TES to being sued for libel as a carrier of the libel - and you were definitely libelous (despite your fantasy claim of only writing gentle, human and positive things)

Again, this should be obvious to a forum expert. There are forums where you can slag people or companies off, but they are usually located in places out of UK law reach, and are obviously marked as such. The TES T&C forbid it anyway.

The thing is was weebecca banned in the first place? I know posts were pulled.

When I saw the comment posted I was dubious clicked and read the profile and it was clear WB was not banned at all despite what we were told by another poster.  At no time was that the case over the whole weekend. Thats just an observation of facts.

I think its time this was knocked on the head. All gossip really isn't it?  Re running of old scores and all that . Lets move on.

I could, of course, post the contents of the email which I was sent on Saturday by one of the moderators. But I wouldn't do so without their permission.

The content was basically "I have banned this poster for breach of T&C" or words to that effect.

I am pretty sure another poster will have had the same email, as I know of at least one other poster who reported certain posts.

The twitter postings are on the internet for all too see. They speak for themselves.

Becca has requested reboots in the past. Whilst her laughably insane conspiracy theories about gangs of roaming TES posters enforcing a right wing agenda and advising Michael Gove are insane (a majority are left I think, and all have concerns about some of Gove's policies) they are also annoying.

Becca is also a comically blatant liar who refuses to admit any fault or error at all, relying on fantasies about posts being deleted and changed by some miraculous method to preserve her own little ego.

    You have a pm.

The one about killing an ofsted inspector was apparently deemed "inappropriate" and I think it's been removed.

It's coming back "I should have instead suggested the ofsted have killed themselves through stystemic corruption."

Rumours that Steven Fry is panicking are much exaggerated.

I think there was another more inflammatory one than that, but I could be wrong. I don't "tweet"

so I'm not au fait with it all.

I noted there were lots of links to this thread and do the NCTEM blog which they've censored and then had the common sense to pull.

I can only comment on the evidence that is in front of me.

    a) there was never at any time a banning of said poster

    b)  Said poster is still here.

I cannot comment on the content of any e mails to another poster or  to yourself.  I deal in facts, not what people say they have.

Let me be clear though, I am not asking or even trying to pressurize any poster into sending or publishing an e mail. I do not care about it.

There are many others here who seem fit that description too.  None of them seem to be banned either.
